Panelist Bios:
Julian Voss-Andreae
Julian Voss-Andreae is a German-born artist and former quantum physicist whose work uniquely bridges cutting-edge science and contemporary sculpture. Trained in physics at the Freie Universität Berlin, the University of Edinburgh, and the University of Vienna, he conducted graduate research in the renowned lab of Anton Zeilinger—recipient of the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics. Voss-Andreae contributed to a groundbreaking experiment demonstrating quantum properties of large molecules, now a staple in physics textbooks. Deeply influenced by quantum theory, he transitioned into sculpture, earning his BFA from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon. His "disappearing sculptures" translate quantum concepts like wave-particle duality into powerful visual metaphors, using parallel steel slices to evoke forms that shift between visibility and invisibility. Through his art, Voss-Andreae invites viewers to perceive reality not as fixed and material, but as dynamic, interconnected, and profoundly mysterious.
George Weissmann, PhD
George Weissmann, PhD is a theoretical physicist with focus on the foundations, philosophy and implications of quantum physics. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with eminent physicists Geoffrey Chew and Henry Stapp, then continued his research in high energy physics at the Federal Polytechnic University in Zürich, Switzerland. In the seventies he co-founded the Fundamental Fysiks Group which met weekly at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory and is credited by historian of physics David Kaiser with re-invigorating physics by investigating fundamental questions. A practitioner and student of Buddhism and Taoism since 1980, he built bridges between science and spirituality, worked with groups practicing collective consciousness and interparadigmatic communication, and contributed to the emergence of a coherent philosophy and world view grounded in Consciousness, the so-called Quantum Paradigm, which integrates science, parapsychology, philosophy and spirituality.
Paul Levy
A pioneer in the field of spiritual emergence, Paul Levy is a wounded healer in private practice, assisting others who are also awakening to the dreamlike nature of reality. He has authored six books, three of which are on the wetiko mind-virus. His newest book is a revised and expanded edition of The Quantum Revelation: Awakening to the Dreamlike Nature of Reality (Inner Traditions 2024). He is the founder of the “Awaken in the Dream Community” in Portland, Oregon. He is on the faculty of The Shift Network. An artist, he is deeply steeped in the work of C. G. Jung, and has been a Tibetan Buddhist practitioner for 40 years.
